The Canadian company that owns Mall of America is planning to build a retail and entertainment complex in the Miami suburban region that could be double the size of its current mall in Bloomington, Minnesota – the biggest shopping mall in the United States.

If done, the project named ‘American Dream Miami’, could be fulfilled with an indoor lake with submarine trips, a ski slope containing 800 feet of artificial powder, hotels, a mini golf course, condominiums, water park and a sea lion show among others.

“It is our goal that this project – ‘American Dream Miami’ – will outrun our other world famous projects in all respects,” Edmonton said in a statement for Triple Five® Worldwide.

Developers are determined for the proposed mega-complex to be built on an available 200-acre grazing land between Interstate 75 and Florida’s Turnpike in Northwest Miami-Dade County. Thus, the project can cost to a great extent of $4 billion and employ as many as 25,000 workers.

The land is situated within the county’s Urban Development Boundary, that requires Triple Five® only to secure a change in local land zoning to begin the project, the Miami Herald reported. according to the Herald, Triple Five® has agreed to pay the division $11 million for the state-owned land and another $7 million to the county’s school arrangement for a lease on a portion of the land inside the boundary.
